@fieldofamber There isn't really any logical reasoning behind it, they just tend to switch occasionally. I wouldn't worry about that too much though, just go with what you feel like ^^
As for the pronunciation of ichi, it tends to be shortened to ich in normal speech just like desu is most commo...
