Jan, born 1945, has for a long time been one of the most well-known guitarists in Sweden. As a session musician he has worked with most of the big swedish acts, like ABBA, Gardestad, Vreeswijk, J:son Lindh etc etc. Jan got international recognition after good reviews in Rolling Stone and a Montreux gig with CBS All Stars. He has played with Bob Marley and the Porcaro family of Toto. Jan has made solo albums with J:son Lindh and in the 80s he teamed up with Lasse Åberg in the wildly popular children pop band Electric Banana Band. As a long time friend to Gardestad it was mostly Jan's merit that Ted's last album could be finished. Among Jan's most popular efforts is Sing louder little river / Brusa högre lilla å, the riff on Gardestad's Satellite and his own Norrland (see favorites).
