Starring Australian and international screen legends Jack Thompson, Gary Sweet and Sigrid Thornton, THE TELEGRAM MAN explores the impact of World War II on a close-knit Australian farming community.

A recipient of the 2011 BAFTA LA® (BRITISH ACADEMY OF FILM & TELEVISION ARTS LOS ANGELES®) PRIZE, the film is directed and produced by James Francis Khehtie.

A nominee for BEST SHORT FICTION FILM at the prestigious 2012 AFI (Australian Film Institute) Awards, THE TELEGRAM MAN was part of the 2011 Academy Awards®-accredited Palm Springs International ShortFest, as well as the 2011 Academy Awards®-accredited Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it was awarded BEST SHORT HONORABLE MENTION.

THE TELEGRAM MAN was selected, out of more than 15,000 entries submitted from around the world, as one of the 50 semi-finalists for Your Film Festival, a global film competition conducted by director & producer Ridley Scott (PROMETHEUS, GLADIATOR, BLADE RUNNER & ALIEN), actor Michael Fassbender (PROMETHEUS, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS & 300), Google, Emirates and the Venice Film Festival.

THE TELEGRAM MAN has been screened in more than 100 different film festivals and special events around the world, where there has been at least one screening of the film each month somewhere in the world since its completion. It was once again very privileged to receive an invitation to screen at the 2014 ANZAC (Australian & New Zealand Army Corps) Day Commemoration in Gallipoli, Turkey, following its successful screening to a crowd of over 11,000 people just prior to the Dawn Service at the 2012 and 2013 Commemorations. ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I. It is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, commemorated by both countries on 25th April every year to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who fought at Gallipoli.

Shot on super 35 mm film with widescreen 2.35:1 aspect ratio, THE TELEGRAM MAN was featured in the Official Kodak Magazine INcamera Web Exclusives, alongside Steven Spielberg's WAR HORSE and Michel Hazanavicius's 2012 Academy Awards®-winner THE ARTIST.

At the request of Jury President Lord David Puttnam, the Academy Awards®-winning producer of CHARIOTS OF FIRE, THE KILLING FIELDS and THE MISSION, THE TELEGRAM MAN is the first and only short film to have been screened at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, dubbed the 'Oscars' of Asia Pacific.

Most recently, THE TELEGRAM MAN was picked up by Shorts International and was very privileged to receive an invitation from AMPAS® | OSCARS® (THE ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS & SCIENCES®) to join its permanent archive collection.

THE TELEGRAM MAN is available in High Definition on iTunes in 54 countries, as well as on Amazon Instant Video in the US and UK. The film is also available under the James Francis Khehtie Collection at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study -- AMPAS® | OSCARS® Film Archive in Hollywood, United States.
