Kia Ora and welcome!!

I'm singer / songwriter & a lefthanded, fretless, six string bass player James Kahu from Auckland, New Zealand.

Since picking up the bass guitar in 1989, I have immersed myself into every style of music. After being offered work as a freelance bass player and performing alongside some of the USA's finest Jazz musicians, I soon decided it would be more beneficial to concentrate on my own music and set to work on recording my new material. The outcome of this has been the release of my Funk / Rock EP 'everything', debut album 'through me' & Smooth Jazz album 'vocals turned down', which can be purchased on iTunes.
