MC ing was originally created to be comedy. The original M.C.s were Count Machuki and others including Sir Lord Comic. MCing and Deejaying comes from the Jamaican Dancehalls. Both rapping and MCing comes from the ghettos of Kingston, Jamaica. It is from them that many tell their stories of their life and try to uplift the people living in the ghettos.
