The film appears to have better Dmax. The blacks still aren't quite black in the FilmConvert processed frames, whereas the film shows richer and deeper blacks. Overall, the dynamic range seems still to be better with film. But digital is relatively close.

fwiw, a DSLR isn't really a proper tool for landscape photography anyway. It's for photojournalists. By the time you enlarge a print to the right size for landscapes, you'd get problems from too small a file size. Viewers won't notice any 'softness' or lens shortcomings. And at smaller output...
