I'm not a big fan of the Falsies either, but mostly because I hate the brush because it's weird to use. I've used regular brushes for so long that I always end up turning the curved brush the wrong way and getting mascara all over my cheeks! Blah!

Perhaps you could try take the Origins one out with a small spatula or spoon and then rub it in. That way you don't have to get it under your fingernails. :)

I agree with you on the second book curse... I've never read anything by this author, but I will definitely check out the books. The only YA author who has delivered in the second book for me has been Maggie Stiefvater. I just think her writing is beautiful.
