@focofoeva LOL this is not even close to dubstep. Dubstep is 140 bpm and has a half-step beat. This is 128 bpm and has a 4 to the floor beat. I would call this electro or fidget house.

Sounding good! You should probably work on your mixdown though, I can barely hear the snare. Try reducing the volume of your wobbles and cutting out a notch in your EQ where the snare peaks

This isn't dubstep because a. it's at 120 bpm and b. the melody has the same tempo as the beat. Dubstep is 140 bpm, and the melody goes twice as fast as the beat (half-time)

@iRecordRandom Yes it is. 99.9% of modern dubstep is at exactly 140 bpm. Some of the older stuff, or unusual stuff like James Blake can be slower.

If you think this is worse than Mt. Eden, you've obviously never tried producing dubstep or any type of EDM. Just sayin'. Secret Lemon Project is amazing. This is so intricate and cool-sounding!

This is on Logic but you can use any DAW like Fl Studio, Cubase, Ableton, Reason, etc. the synth they're using here is called Sylenth1

The reason he sounds like Skrillex is because they both use sampling. Massive is an incredibly powerful synthesizer which can create an unlimited variety of sounds, there's no "Massive signature sound". Zomboy is just using the same patches that Skrillex uses because he doesn't know...

No, I don't think that. I do think that all dubstep is around 140 bpm with a 2-step drum beat, while this is a slow ambient song with no drums.

How the fuck is Boregore not dubstep? Sure sounds like it to me. Maybe it's gorestep because he has the word "gore" in his name?

@dylan37373 Also the beginning sounds just like Astral Projection's "Still Dreaming" but hey, nothing wrong with borrowing ideas from other musicians. Nice track, I enjoyed it a lot.
