How have you been ? New Zealand's been in the news a lot this year. Just the other day saw a video of a helicopter that got caught in some cable while trying to lower a Christmas tree....lucky the guy wasn't hurt. Hope your weather's been o.k. We're suppose to get 90km winds this afternoon....hope I don't end up with all my neighbours animals in my yard and their lawn furniture....LOL

Just wondering.....is it common to get them there periodically ? I heard Japan just got another one a few days ago....omg.....we're heading into our tornado season as soon as the snow melts....lol I watched a vid from Japan, a newsroom during the quake.....what a scary mess. I imagine it takes some time to get everything back in order after all that destruction. Just services alone, like power and gas, let alone the clean-up and rebuilding. That would take a lot of patience.

Unreal....how do you know what to do under those circumstances? Looks like best to stay outside, in the middle of the road and watch for falling objects? I also watched the cell phone footage. I can't even imagine how scary something like this would be.....not knowing where to run.

Glad to hear everyone is o.k. I know there are so many disasters in the world lately and I feel for all the people going through them. Every country gets hit with different kinds of disasters.....here where I live, it's tornados....I know I am lucky in many ways.....and can't even imagine what you go through in experiencing earthquakes.....that must be super scary....omg
