I think the point was to show the set and it's sound. Playing the same thing gives a decent understanding of what the kit sounds like. Also, That has to be a record for being the biggest kit with only 2 toms. It's the same size as bozzio's but with a fraction of separate pieces.

Tune your resonant heads a little higher, and tune the batter heads on the toms lower. You'll get a much better sound, and your heads won't stretch and sound choked.
