To those for whom I've left comments--apologies may be implied where necessary, if you need to feel better.

To anyone who's gotten the impression that I'd want to debate politics--I'm so disgusted with the political scene and its murky definitions that I'm too pissed off about it to think straight sometimes. But I'll try to add mine before I shut up about it altogether. Politics is the realm where arrogance meets stupidity in otherwise intelligent people--it's been that way all my life, and it's been that way since the earliest times I've researched...At least in Western traditions.

Now that I have more than one subscriber (and I don't know why I would have a single subscriber in the first place), I think I'll post videos more often. Now that I'm reluctant for video attention, maybe I'll get it. (I wanted to be an actor at one point in my life, but I gave up that dream and settled for 'practicality'.)

All comments are being deleted from my inbox. Don't expect anything you've responded to me with to be read. I might glance at them, but I'll probably just forget it anyway--unless you make it really funny and memorable. I may be a jerk that way, but it keeps me as happy as I can be during these times.

Woo and yay! I've been called a "Liberal-Communist-Fascist" for (tacitly) sticking up for Liberalism!
All righty, it's good to know what I am. Up until the *totally* realistic and rational person insinuated my label, I was leaning toward "Libertarian". I was close to ruling it out all ready.

Libertarian Positive associations:
Clint Eastwood, Drew Carey, Penn and Teller.

Negatives:
Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Ayn Rand, several bland, forgettable politicians and Ron Paul (who might be a positive, if he were to leave the Republican party permanently.)

So, sorry Libertarians, the negatives far outweigh the positives.

Things I *wont* be:

"Neo-"con. Sorry, National Review et al., there's nothing "neo" about the con you're pulling.

Communist. If you want to screw things up, leave it to a human being. If you *really* want things screwed up, make it a *collective* of human beings.

Fascist. The Roman Empire (the origin of the symbol that gave us the root word for "faggot", of all things) fell for a reason. This brand of totalitarianism proved worthless millenia ago. In the 19th and 20th Centuries, some folks wanted to revive it--to millions of people's detriment. (For some reason, wealthy industrialists of that age fell over themselves to fund Europe's various fascist movements. Hey, just sayin'! Fire not upon the messenger.)

Independent. This is one I would *like* to be, and I may call myself this eventually--if Independents are allowed to vote in primaries. For now they aren't, and the coin flip I made in '92 stays: Heads Democratic, tails Republican. (Heads came up.)

"Cultural Warrior". Until I can tell whether people who label themselves as Cultural Warriors are fighting for or *against* culture, I'm staying out of their fold--and I'm tuning their TV and radio stations out.
