To set up the BPM you press on the "TAP" button to manually "TAP" the BPM that you wanna use. It's great for when you do a set that is gonna be in a close BPM range of the songs you're mixing. But if you're mixing different kinds of BPM's for example Hip Hop/RnB/Reggae, then you want the efx to automatically scan the bpm so it doensn't sound weird when you use the effects.
