About this user
From 2007 to 2010, I spent three years dealing with individuals suffering from: schizophrenia, severe religious issues; substance abuse and homelessness, emotional detachment, and cutting, plus 18 months as of an active peer support community with San Francisco Lighthouse Church Celebrate Recovery. During this time, I have participated in assisting in providing positive supervised interactions between shut-ins and surrounding community members, assist individuals in recovery to engage in community events, and overcome various phobias; while instructing them in basic living skills such as: cooking, house cleaning, laundry; while acting as a peer advocate and learning to develop effective community, provider/client relationships and alliances. Thus; I have real life experience as a MHSA peer advocate/survivor.
