I don't know what twist of fate brought you to this site but... WELCOME!

I first started videotaping on a reel-to-reel videotape port-o-pack on loan from the InterMedia Art Center (IMAC) of Huntington, NY back in the early '70s. Thanks for trusting a kid, Michael* and Kathie!

SPUYTEN DUYVIL PLAYLISTs

BOB WESTCOTT PLAYLIST - Thanks to Hank I also got to record Bob. I had recorded an older 2002 Cedar Beach Blues fest clip of Bob. But I can't really say I knew Bob's music. Part of the fun of this Channel is that while I edit the clips I get to watch the clips a couple of times. I now know how good Bob is... which is really really good!

HANK STONE and ROUGH FOLK PLAYLISTS were a pleasure to record! I had no real plans to post more live music after my last Jack's Waterfall concert. Thought I might get more Wet Paints Art Demos up. But then Hank and I exchanged some emails and, WOW, some great video clips got born. Thanks, Hank!

BAKITHI KUMALO PLAYLIST. (Yes the one who plays with Paul Simon on albums like Graceland!) As one viewer commented "Who in the hell gets Bakithi at their local library? Amazing!" Well, he lives in the area and I got him at the library and at a local Vineyard. I'll second that "amazing"!

TOBY WALKER PLAYLISTs
are the Blues answer to instant gratification. I've never seen so many 5 Star reviews pop up so quickly. Find out why!

JACK'S WATERFALLS PLAYLISTS
Jack Licitra is a legendary Long Island performer! Multi-talented musician songwriter and spiritual being. I can't thank him enough for letting me record his performances.

KERRY KEARNEY BAND @ GHT PLAYLIST provides a full psychedelta southern rock blues assault. With ripping dobro or lush lullabies, Kerry and his band are in fine form.

THE FALCO BROTHERS PLAYLIST are here in 15 amazing videos. The Grey Horse Tavern, in Bayport NY, invited me down to videotape their first concert "UPstairs@GHT" series.

* A MEMORIAL TO MICHAEL ROTHBARD:
I'm sadden to post the passing of Michael Rothbard, co-founder of the Inter-Media Arts Center. Michael and Kathie Bodily created a unique experience that encompassed dance, video and music here on Long Island. I learned video editing from Michael and one of my early efforts earned me the nickname of "Soy Boy". It was always great to see an event at IMAC. It was always great to hear Michael announce the acts. Take a moment and read the following link. Thanks again Michael, you will be missed!

MILES TO DAYTON @ NOFO ROCK and FOLK FEST 2011 PLAYLIST
Aside from the beauty of the North Fork, I made a point of going to this years' NOFO concert when I saw M2D was performing. This was the first time I tried recording video with my little Canon Elph pocket camera. Without a tripod it was a little rocky in parts, but I was glad I had it on me to catch this standout performance!

HARRY CHAPIN CONCERT 2010 (HIGHLIGHTS & COMMEMORATIVE STAMP)
In support of The Harry Chapin Commemorative Stamp Project. Highlights from several performances from the 6th 'Just Wild About Harry' Chapin Concert.

When Stu Markus sent out word about this project, as the 'official' videographer, I offered to revisit my recordings and produce a video in support of the Project.

Call Michael Haynes, Coordinator of Government Affairs & Public Policy, @ 631-582-3663 ext. 124 or email him @ mhaynes@licares.org requesting a pre-addressed postcard to the US Stamp Advisory Committee. Simply sign the back and send it in to show your support!
