I listen to folk, ballads, traditional, country, classic, acoustic, flamenco, scottish and occasionally techno music. Instrumental guitarists tend to take a while to get used to their taste and feel - it's very advanced music, eventually one realises the guitar can actually melodically sing far more eloquently than any vocalist, in my view. But few first listeners can listen to Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond The Sun for example - and understand it straight away, it's just not done. It takes time and an open, creative mind. I respect anyone who can play the guitar well, because I know how dedicated you need to be. My favourite instrumental song is Ceremony by Joe Satriani.
