"JROWE" James Walter Rowe, III also known as JRowe, is a young up & coming R&B artist, songwriter and musician who has been singing and playing drums since the age of two. Born in Gary, Indiana and the oldest of two, JRowe grew up in Merrillville, Indiana and graduated from Merrillville High School (MHS). While attending MHS, he participated in band and in the Show Choir. He also was one of the starting five for the Varsity Basketball Team. JRowe is a drummer for his church choir as well as a soloist. He has sung in various school, church and local competitions and was the first runner-up for the Merrillville Idol - competing against more than 40 participants. He currently resides in Moline, Illinois after receiving a basketball scholarship to a Junior College. He is majoring in Business with a minor in Music. JRowe sings both R&B and Gospel Music and has written more than 50 songs in the past year. Inspired by Jamie Foxx, Luther Vandross, Gerald Levert, R. Kelly, Mario, Smokie Norful, Tye Tribbett and Kurt Carr, he has a passion for music and plans to excel in it. His long term goal is to have longevity in the music business and he wants to bring back the R&B feel that seems to be lost. He is currently working on his first CD titled "Enter the Life" which should be completed by March 2008.
