Yeah the rev limiters on these cars cuts power it doesn't just keep bouncing off of red line like some cars. It's a safety thing. & on the SS 6-speed it has the skipshift feature to maximize fuel economy. I.e. If you are at 6k rpms in 2nd it will block out 3rd gear and force you into 4th because ...
