@beeroosterm Well, I doubt I'd call him one of the great guitar players of all time, but I for one like his music. I find it relaxing. I don't know or care much about his politics. I'm sure if I knew half the truth about musicians I admire, I might not admire them so much anymore. Anyway, pax.

Good comment, krentiststhedentist. People who complaian that so-and-so is off-key or out of tune or whatever simply don't understand or appreciate live rock-blues performances. Page misses all the time, and it sounds great!

I saw the show, and I thought Steve Winwood stole it with this tune. PS: Why do these guys get to keep their hair and look so good after all those years of rock n' roll!

You just get the feeling that musicians of this time gave everything they had in every performance, 100%. It's no wonder they needed booze and drugs to sustain the intensity. But I'm so sad it had to take them all away, Janis, Morrison, Hendrix, Moon, Bonham . . .

Strange, I stumbled across this in a mix of other bands. Had never heard of them; neither had my friends. Can't believe it! These guys were amazing! How come they never got radio time or any media attention that I can recall?

I'm not sure that I'd go so far as to say they were the greatest band ever. That's too tough a call. But I do like their music. And I agree, there's nothing today that comes close for heaviness, raw emotion, and energy.
