Europe@myDesk
The project Europe@myDesk aims at bringing Europe closer to young people and young workers through an improved and active access to information on European issues. This aim will be achieved through effective information debates in schools and the development of youth media on this topic.
The core part of the project is a series of twelve events called DeskEvents lasting 3 days, which will be held in twelve different European countries. The aim of these events is to develop skills and exchange experiences on how to present the European Union and discuss on its current challenges in a fair, transparent and plural way. All events will include a training in project management, an information event in a school and/or university, and a workshop on youth journalism.
This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.

Free Belarus Campaign
Each year, The Young European Federalists organise a pan-European street action on the 18th of March 2010, to protest against and raise awareness about the last remaining dictatorship on the European continent. Lukashenko, undemocratically elected president of Belarus in 2006, has oppressed human freedoms ever since coming to power.
As an organisation that promotes freedom, democracy and federalism, JEF cannot leave the Belarusian citizens behind! JEF calls for young people, their friends, families and networks throughout Europe and the wider world to act! The street action is very simple: young people take to the streets on the evening of March 18th or early March 19th, put cloth around the mouths of famous statues to symbolically gag them, take pictures of their action and send them to JEF.By collecting pictures from young people from all over the world, JEF make an important statement that will be heard loud and clear by the EU Institutions and officials, the dictatorial regime and the population in Belarus. Mark democracy in your agenda for the 18th of March each year!
