Rising sons are talented mcs with gritty lyrics over raw grime beatz. Rising Sons are - Kleva, Kalaba and Traja D from Coventry, UK.
Shooting took place during March / April 2007. I used a Panasonic DVX100 standard definition camera, along with a pro tripod, dolley attachment, handheld peglight and professional lighting equipment. For editing I used Final Cut Pro.
I shot on location in Coventry. Some locations you may recognise are St Elizabeths Church, graffiti from Leicester Causeway, Coventry signpost near M69, flats / estates on Henley Road, phonebox opposite barras chippy. Establishing shots of cov were filmed from the top floor of Paradise flats.
Tried to put some deeper meaning into the video, representing urban street life, England, the back-lighting which consist of red, blue and white represents the union jack, you'll notice the video shifts from morning to night, the rizla shot which represents klevas small steps, the 5.0 jakes and the controversial cross which contrasts with kleva's lyric 'please lord have mercy on me'.
This video took a lot of work and effort, I created it solely and am proud of the end result. Aspiring to enter the music indsutry, I want to remind everyone that the sky is the limit..dream big ppl there is so much talent in coventry alone!! Big up to traja, kleva and kalaba cos rising sons are talented mcs nuff love..1
