If it were a 2 channel amp, half the rms power would go through one and the other half of rms value goes into 2nd channel. There is no limit to how many sub woofers you can wire to 1 channel....

@HotLikeButta Don't listen to this. I love sundown audio, but its 600w rms each. The size of the sub does not determine how much power it can take. The whole Sa line has the same power rating except the sa-8 because it's tooled completely different. Every application is install dependent as well....

Technically you are underpowering a sub when you play music as it is very dynamic and when you are turning the volume down. For example a 1kw rms amp will not always produce 1,000 watts unless you are playing a solid tone, and have total voltage control.

@420basshead420 A 15 wont hit different notes than a 12. The 15 would have more output due to cone area, otherwise a 15 is the same thing as a 12 other than size and the ouput of a 15 will be a little more cause of cone area.
