Please read the description to follow along with the video, additionally there are a few notes that I add here in the description that I missed in the video - there's so much information it was hard to sum it all up. For even more information, including what things actually have what values, check out this page: http://www.zeldas...
00:00 - The start of the video, most of the stuff in the beginning is preparing to actually do the RBA as an adult.
18:03 - How to steal the rod, essentially the first step to do RBA.
23:21 - Starting RBA and getting a bottle on B.
25:04 - Pocket Cucco. Pocket Cucco when you drop bugs and have empty bottle, that gives you the adult's wallet (and with 10 Gold Skulltulas you could go get giant's wallet), and will also give you the golden scale. Catching a bug will give you the colored gauntlets (based on previous strength) and will delete seed bag upgrades and dive meter will be 1.
29:53 - Cojiro. Dropping and catching bugs on cojiro will give you a glitched quiver (holds 20) and a bomb bag 40. You must have a bottle on your bomb slot to get bomb drops. Something I didn't mention was if you already have a bomb bag (say, 20) in the game, you can still RBA cojiro and get the 40 bag, and then you wouldn't need a bottle on your bomb slot since you would have the real bomb icon there. IMPORTANT NOTE: When I drop bugs (empty bottle) with cojiro, I mention getting the 30 bomb bag and a glitched quiver. THAT glitched quiver holds 0 !!!! So if you need to shoot arrows you cannot have empty bottle cojiro be your last move on cojiro (you should recatch). Also if you need to shoot arrows, but you don't have the bow, even with a quiver you must still have a magic arrow to actually shoot something. Cojiro will delete your previous strength upgrade, so will change colored gauntlets if you have them to black.
39:16 - Odd Mushroom. This doesn't really do much except give you 1/4 a heart piece.
41:54 - Odd Potion. If you drop and catch bugs, you will have Song of Time, and the 3 stones. You will delete gerudo card, stone of agony, your shown gold skulltula count (you will still have them, but it won't show anymore), and song of storms. Song of Storms is the "value 2" in this case that you could technically keep but it rarely (I have never done it) is done.
47:25 - Poacher's Saw. This part is complicated, but you can ignore this step if you don't really care. Just know that Saria's Song, Sun's Song, and Epona's Song will always be deleted. For Requiem of Spirit, it will be deleted 99/100 times (even more really). Here is what I mean with "value 2" being requiem of spirit. Because bugs is 29, that in binary (with base 10 values put back in) is 16 + 8 + 4 + 1. Even with fish (value 25), fairy (24) or empty (20) or even things like blue fire (28) you do not get a 2 value in there. The only way to get 2 is 31 (16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1)...but as you find out later, the only way to get value 31 is to actually have value 26, because that's full milk. 26 is 16 + 8 + 2...so in order keep requiem of spirit with RBA, you would first have to have values 16, 8, and 2, which are Zelda's lullaby, prelude of light, and requiem of spirit.
53:05 - Broken Goron Sword. Here is the set up video by Bloob: http://www.youtub... to get across the bridge. Epona is probably more commonly used unless you are really going for a fast time in any%. Hookshot is really tough but can be done too. As for the medallions, if you drop and catch your bugs, you will have the spirit, shadow, water, and forest medallions. You won't have light or fire medallions, or minuet of forest or bolero of fire, they will be deleted. Note that some triggers in the game occur on the medallions or stones (like the light arrow cutscene) but others actually occur when stepping in the blue light of an area (like kakariko burning for nocturne cutscene). There are too many things to mention here so you just learn which it is as you experiment.
1:00:42 - It is possible to get the Odd Mushroom as a child. If you die or savewarp with it, it becomes cojiro. In some routes you can then go adult and go straight to the pond and RBA cojiro for bombs and a quiver very quickly.
1:05:59 - Shield Swipe Bottle B. This is useful if on N64 you forgot to break your deku sticks, and in some cases may be faster anyway.
1:08:36 - Amounts of items. Here I show how to get a large amount of chus, using a bottled poe on C-right. The one I forgot to mention was big poe on c-right points to slingshot seeds. I also show half milk here and arrow drops.
1:15:31 - If you have already RBA'ed bomb bag, getting the real bomb bag causes some side effects. I show eyedrops and using them here.
1:20:04 - Water temple keys and also magic arrows for boss keys.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found something useful. Feel free to ask questions !!!
