About Me:

The official, unofficial channel of JAM. A former singer/songwriter/musician who picked up a guitar recently and got hooked once again.
Shoulda never put it down in the first place! Vocals are a little dusty and strumming is a little rusty, but getting better everyday! Hopefully I'll be adding more to this site as time goes on. Only the good Lord knows where this journey might take me.

More?
Everything is raw and recorded live!
Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Daring, gifted, distracted, successful, fallen, kicked, beat-up, rebounding. Take your pick.
They all describe JAM

It's a story you've probably heard before, he started playing the guitar and singing early in life and just knew it was his calling. The unusual part, although not really unusual other than to the many younger people out there is what happened next.
Believe it or not, there once was a time when there was no Internet, no home recording studios, etc. The technology just wasn't like it is today. There was you and a couple buddies, a couple guitars, mics and a set of drums. You wrote songs together and played to anyone that would listen. If you wanted a song produced, you really had to become "noticed". Nope, no YouTube, no MySpace. To get a record company to notice you was next to impossible. So while his love for music never ceased, a paying job and eating was becoming increasingly more important.
After many years, JAM has decided to pickup his old guitar and try it one more time. Older, wiser, yet really rusty, but just as determined as the early days.
Hoping to get some cover songs up soon, to start with. The guitar is getting better, but the vocals are still really rough.
Everything is going to be done raw, a simple mic and guitar, in the living room or even in the back yard with the birds singing along. Hopefully you'll enjoy whatever does end up on here, and please honesty is much appreciated.

Hi there, thank you for the invitation! I love your story. Keep the faith and wishing you a kick-ass rebound!! I do remember about that age... Wasn't it fun to try to record your band with a crappy stereo cassette player?!!! Boy, this definitely sounds like another life. Seems like guys like us got to experience both the stone age AND iron age... Sometimes I think if we could bring back people like Elvis and drag them into a (home) studio, and they'd see how things are done today, they'd lose their jaw and probably their mind, too... Cheers from Japan - JC
