Hey dude, Warwicks have fret markers on the side of the neck so you can still see what frets are what. They are great bass guitars and i would thoroughly recommend you buying one.

Hey, I use various strings, all of which are nickel roundwounds with a regular gauge. I like D'Addario's and DR Strings. For tapping purposes, I like using Fodera VW4N's, which have a slightly lighter gauge.

no, not at all! There are no fret dots indeed but there are fretdots on the side of the fretboard. So as you play it, you can see them :). Maybe if you play in a band it can be difficult for the other bandmembers (guitarists) to see what you play but you can see fretdots yourself :).
