I don't know exactly what I am. I call myself Lesbian because its easiest but I think Queer fits better. I find androgynous people very attractive. I mainly like woman but androgynous guys sometimes are quite attractive too. I'm not 100% comfortable being female, but I don't think I should be 100% male either. I guess I'm just me.
Living in Missoula Montana...One of the best places I've ever been. My friends and music are my life. My current passion is NCBI (National Coalition Building Institute). I hate judgement, stereotypes, boxes, homophobia, and all other forms of prejudice. I have a very open mind and big opinions and goals. I plan on going to the University Of Montana to do Gender Studies and possibly something to do with Social Work. I LOVE helping people and making a difference. If you got a chance to see the documentary I was in and helped film with the rest of Respect Club (run threw NCBI) "Inside Out" that premiered at the Wilma Theater in downtown Missoula on May 30th after the showing of "Straightlaced: How Genders Got Us All Tied Up" then I would LOVE to hear your opinions on it. If you are wondering what NCBI is then go to their website: ncbi.org and to learn more about NCBI Missoula go to ncbimissoula.org
Our latest project was Missoula's first anual Diversity Day, we spoke to the mayor who agreed that on April 12th, when everyone voted on the discrimination ordinance to protect LGBTQI people, he would announce that day as official Diversity Day for the rest of, well forever!
Heidi Wallace is my hero. I look up to her like a mother figure. She and the rest of Respect Club have helped me so much. I thank her greatly for being such an amazing person and standing up for what she believes in and teaching others to do the same.
I hope to one day inspire others to become better people and make the world a better place.
I believe adults and the media set the examples the kids of the future see and if we really want to change the future we need to start with changing the minds of the adults and media that put so many prejudices and other unneeded crap into young minds. Adults blame the kids and the media but they dont realize its adults who run the media and set the examples for kids in every day life. Something as easily said as "That so gay" and be so very hurtful but so easily stopped if adults took the time to think before they speak because kids will say exactly what adults say because its what they are taught.
I will end my rant with one of my favorite quotes:
We live in a society of victimization, where people are much more comfortable being victimized than actually standing up for themselves. - Marilyn Manson
