1972? Geez, I was in kindergarten. When I first heard this song, I remember nobody picked me up from school, I was scared! So, this was playing on somebody's radio, and I went to the neighbor's house, who was my classmate. Later, my mom got me.

I heard this song back in 1973, on KIQQ 100FM. What a blast from the past, while growing up a 7 year old, turning 8 that year in Orange Co., CA. Pretty dramatic ending there, for that time.
