Gli Ivy Garden Of The Desert si formano nel dicembre 2008. .. Paolo (basso), Andrea (batteria), Diego (chitarra/voce) vogliono creare fin da subito una propria musica, una musica che esprima al meglio le loro personalità, influenzate dal mondo in cui vivono, da sogni e desideri, e dalla musica che ha conquistato i loro cuori. L'idea di partenza è scrivere canzoni rifacendosi a quei modelli che in passato hanno dato vita allo Stoner e che tutt'oggi riconfermano la loro grandezza. Naturalmente gli Ivy Garden Of The Desert non denigrano il presente e rimangono lungi dall'uniformarsi alla massa, indirizzati verso la continua ricerca di una propria identità lontana da schemi e restrizioni. A fronte di tutto ciò va detto che dopo un anno di stoner, la band inizia a varcare le soglie del genere mantenendo, è vero, un suono caldo, seducente e graffiante, spaziando però verso strutture e melodie che appartengono a musiche che hanno segnato epoche o che tutt'oggi spopolano tra coloro che la musica la ascoltano e non la consumano. Desert Sessions, Kyuss, Nebula, Fu Manchu, Motorpsycho, Monster Magnet, sono solo alcuni nomi (tra i più famosi e i più apprezzati) che possono chiarire da dove la musica degli Ivy Garden Of The Desert abbia tratto nutrimento fino al giorno in cui non ha fatto sentire la propria voce. I testi della band trattano generalmente un tema che al cantante sta particolarmente a cuore: la libertà. La voce non è la leader del progetto Ivy Garden Of The Desert: poche parole costituiscono liriche ermetiche che caratterizzano, a sua volta, ogni composizione nata fin ora, permettendo alla musica di detenere ancora l'egemonia.
ENGLISH. Ivy Garden Of The Desert begins its activity in December 2008. Paolo on bass, Andrea on drums and percussion, Diego on guitar and vocals, decide to create their own music, a sound that expresses their personalities to the core, influenced by the world they live in, by dreams and desires, and by music that has conquered their hearts. The starting idea is to create songs getting inspiration from the past models that have given birth to Stoner, bands that confirm their greatness nowadays. Of course, Ivy Garden Of The Desert don't denigrate the present tense but they stand apart from the mass, aware of being on the "...in search of" way, just to know better who they are... After a year finding itself surrounded by stoner, the bands decides to change, to evolve, maintaining its particular warm sound, seductive and scathing. They try to ahead towards structures and melodies of the music that have given birth to epochs, music that people like to listen to and not just to consume. Desert Sessions, Kyuss, Nebula, Fu Manchu, Motorpsycho, Monster Magnet, are only a few names of a greater stoner panorama, but they may help people understand from where Ivy Garden Of The Desert music fed until the day we heard its voice... The band's lyrics usually treat the theme that is dearest to the singer: freedom. The singer's voice is not the project leader: few words constitute obscure poems and music still continues to be predominant.
