Kixru is the nobody of Riku, although appears to be the opposite in personality. Kixru is spontaneous and outgoing, rather than Riku's quiet and withdrawn behavior. She also attempts to maintain being a pacifist. After Riku lost his body to Xehanort's heartless in Hallow Bastion, Kixru was found in Castle Oblivion by Marluxia. Like Namine, Kixru was seen as useful since she was the nobody of Riku. But due to Kixru's hyperactive personality, she wasn't necessarily a slave to Organization XIII. But her presence in the Castle was well known to the Organization, and was seen as a nuisance. Ironically, Kixru's first friend was Riku, as he was finding his way around the Castle. Kixru aided his journey little by little by giving him advice of the Castle and Organization and assisting him with the collection of Castle Oblivion Cards. These Cards appeared to be Kixru's absolute passion. In the end, Riku & Sora defeated all the Organization Castle Residents, and Kixru was legitimately free. Riku introduced Kixru to DiZ, who took her to live with him in the Twilight Town mansion until further notice.

Under the watchful eye of DiZ, Kixru's hyperactivity & freedom was suppressed. Usually, Kixru would wait for his temporary return, since he was the only one who has shown compassion so far in her life. But she would also draw with Namine. Out of boredom, Kixru ended up disobeying DiZ's orders of staying inside the mansion. Using her nobody ability of creating Dark Portals, she enabled herself to travel outside of the Mansion in Twilight Town & The World That Never Was. Within these short journeys, Kixru met with Xion & Roxas. Kixru noticeably became close with Roxas due to the connection between Sora & Riku. However, after the death of Xion, Riku defeated Roxas & captured both the defiant Kixru & Roxas.

When Kixru & Roxas were taken into the Mansion, DiZ ordered Namine to erase their memories & put them into a data-based projection of Twilight Town. DiZ thought it would be useful to have them live there until Namine finished restoring Sora's lost memories. Soon after, Roxas & Kixru easily adapted to their new lived with new friends, Hayner, Pence, & Olette. Even with memories tampered with, Roxas & Kixru were still inseparable. In time, Axel interfered with their peaceful summer vacation to retrieve Roxas back into the Organization. Axel began stating memories that neither of them recalled, and evidently showed dislike for Kixru. Within the strange events of the vacation, Roxas & Kixru gained their Keyblades. Eventually, Roxas merged back into Sora. Riku confronted Kixru, and knowing him from her dreams, Kixru accepted the fact that she belonged within his heart.
