Gen is the Founder of Ithaca Business, a company specialising in cutting costs and improving services (yes, at the same time!) for businesses of every shape and size.

Gen's 'fixer' career started while she was an Officer in the Australian Army. After 8 years she moved to the corporate sector, as a troubleshooter with Melbourne Pathology, Mayne and Bonlac taking leadership roles to design and deliver business process optimisation solutions.

Gen founded Ithaca in 2001, motivated to create something more 'in-touch' than many consultancy services she had worked with and observed during her career as a 'fixer'.

Ithaca delivers those differences through:

* rapidly developing deep understanding of the issues

* finding simple - comprehensive (strategy, structure, resources, technology, systems, people and process) - solutions

* guiding clients through the most difficult part, implementation

* ensuring clients - not the consultant - 'own' the solution

* charging milestone-based, not time-based, fees

* not being tied to any one solution - independence

Working this way, Ithaca has successfully delivered solutions for clients including Carter Holt Harvey, CSL Pharmaceuticals, various NHS Trusts, Skanem A/S, RDB Facilities Management, Goulburn Valley Health, DHL and TNT to name a few.
