@NemEsisTHEoPeration I have only recently started listening to past masters and I was totally blown away when I stumbled upon Mario Del Monaco. Not only do I agree with you but I might go a step further and rate him as the best ever tenor in recorded history!

@HachiZenki I agree with you a hundred percent. And not only that, why would anyone with the exceptional power of Mario Del Monaco ever sing sotto? Gigli often sang sotto because he had no choice. He didn't have the power to match someone like Del Monaco.

What power! Gigli had a wonderful voice too but when listen to this recording followed immediately by Gigli's recording of the the same song it isn't even close. Del Monaco's voice is exceptional!

This man is in a league of his own! Others can only vie for second place.
