The conversion to digital television is one of the most interesting times in my entire career in broadcasting. The conversion is ongoing -- and fast approaching. In a little more than a year, analog television will be shut off, and we'll all be watching television a little differently.
One of the most difficult -- and important -- parts of the transition is communicating with viewers about the change. It's important for you to have the information you need to make the transition as smoothly as possible, and to be sure you can still watch your favorite programming (especially that programming on Iowa Public Television) after February 17, 2009.
This year, Iowa Public Television celebrates 40 years of in-depth coverage of the Iowa State Fair. Our broadcast coverage includes Fair favorites and a few surprises too.
