Dear Savior

A voice is carried on the wind;
The tone of such, the only one the clouds will heed.
Skies darken in the gloom that the clouds forth send,
But in nary an eye does a tear for the voices keeper bead.

Her cry fell on unwilling and silent ears,
And so no one comes to her side.
Into the shade of every night fall her tears.
None of her peers even try to keep her soul alive.

Come every morning- yes, every passing day-
She wakes to an enveloping pain.
She consciously knows her light is fading away,
And nothing more than this simple fact makes her afraid.

Are the signs there?
Yes- everything but her physique is changed!
Still, others turn a blind eye- completely unaware.
In her state, her emotions are diminished and caged.

Finally, she gives in, and as her soul continues to die off,
She wonders what evil has clutched at her heart.
Never to her came the help shed so desperately sought,
And without such aid, from the inside out, the darkness tore her apart.

Look about your surroundings dear people.
Do you see her anywhere?
No, of course not! For too well does she hide sorrow and its keeper.
Even still, why cant you see her grief in the air?

A lost spirit with her lay,
And I- victim too- must watch it all.
Watch as around her crumpled, broken self, death angels play!
Watch as her grounds shake and devastatingly slowly fall!

Yet only I could hear her desperate plea?
Pity her, world; do not deafen her out!
What an unkind place this planet must be
To simply ignore such a despairing shout.

By every moonlight, cries and tears streak down her face,
And every dawn is greeted by an even emptier feeling than the preceding.
Her eyes take up a haunting and tell-tale glaze.
How can others not see her taking such a beating?

Oblivious minds, here is your wake up call!
For I alone am her savior,
And I am of no help to her at all!
So please, I beg you, seek her out; save her.

Regardless of what youve been told,
The time hasnt yet passed;
There is still hope for her withering soul!
So please brethren, do as youve been asked.

Dont let this be mine, nor her, final act;
Save me by saving this spirit so tenderly cracked.
