I'd like to compare this run with one of the other great giant slalom skiers. I'm sure that there's still a difference. Lindsey's not the queen of giant slalom, at least not yet.

Vonn doesn't really outperform Riesch. In slalom, the risk of skiing out is much higher than in the speed events, and that's what happened to Riesch in this case. Vonn placed 13th or 16th in that race.

By the way, Vonn had a series of not finishing (skiing out in the first run) 5 slaloms.
