*Love146 is a nonprofit organization that fights to stop child sex trafficing.
Every 2 minutes, a child is sold. 1 million slaves are currently in the U.S to date. These slaves can mainly be found in bars, massage spas, and other such places.
"There was once a man walking along the beach. A high tide had washed up thousands of starfish, and the day promised to be scorching. The man was contemplating the starfish's fate when he noticed a boy, out in the sand. The boy was flinging starfish one by one out to sea. The man went to the boy and said, 'Son, there's no way you can save all these starfish; or even save enough to make a difference in the world.' The boy just smiled and held up a single starfish. 'But to this one, I've made all the difference in the world.' Stunned, the man watched as the boy turned, and flung that starfish out to sea. Then, the man bent down, next to the boy and plucked a starfish from the sand. 'All the difference in the world.' He agreed."
This is the story I'm going to live my life by. And I don't mean saving starfish, even though they are important too. Even if I can't change the world, I can change one person's world, and that's all that matters to me.
