Just something I want to point out:
Why do we (The United States of America) spend so much money on the military? Throwing money at a problem never worked. It is so overfunded, if any amount of money could buy victory it would be about half what we are spending now (currently we are planning on spending as much as 14 trillion in 2012). The V-22 ospray program alone cost about 3 billion and it was a miserable failure. In 2007 the national education budget was under a trillion, and has since been cut I believe. Maybe throwing money at the problem doesn't work because we pay more attention to our guns than we do our children. I wish those four planes had never been hijacked, not because of the immediate victims, but because of all the other people who have fallen victim to a country that can't stay out of war, and what happened Sept 11th was just another excuse to give trillions to defense contractors by the people that govern us.
