@1999GAGTHO The "shift light" is based upon engine speed, vehicle speed, and amount of throttle. The light's main purpose is to keep the car at as low RPM's as possible, increasing fuel economy and lessening wear and tear on motor, trans-axle, ect.. Just like speed limit signs, it's just a recomm...
