It should be an anthem for saving what is beautiful and essential, before it gets sold to the highest bidder, and turned into the Exxon-sized Hell of northern New Jersey -- where Big Oilmen have converted a garden state into just another desert wasteland, but who, themselves, bask by pools in sunny Dubai...too global to give a turd about America...which is about all is left, after the pollution dries, and we wake up, destitute, banging at the gate.
Whose garden WAS this after all? And why did we give up on it so easily? |
