This is a short video of the Collings B-17 flying into Salinas Airport in 1994. What I wanted to show in this video is what it does towards the end. I thought it was pretty cool, especially if you were there to witness it. I don't know who the fellow was flying that day, but the Collings group referred to him as "The Flying Dentist" - He flew for Collings on the side. ^_~ - The video is tilted because of equipment issues. This was taken on one of those old missile launcher VCR Camcorders.

Normally I don't post videos on Commercial Jets, but I thought this was kinda interesting. I spent a little time in Puerto Princesa, in the Philippines on the Island of Palawan. In this video two Airbus 320's land on a fairly short runway. (but not as short as some I have seen in these parts) - Basically its a municipal sized airport. Pretty small. 1 Runway - What I found interesting is the way they did things. . . The ground crew and how close the planes came to the passengers on the ground. Maybe interesting to some and dull as dirt to others but then, you were warned. haha! Oh! and they call this a "International Airport" Hahaha - Info and Stats below: http://en.wikiped...

Holy Cows . . . . I did this flight back in January 2000, flying out of Falcon Field in Mesa Arizona. Bill Hane gave me the flight of a life time and as a result he turned me into a puddle of mush in the back seat. - I was in pretty good shape back then, but to be honest, after the flight, I had a really hard time getting out of the plane. Bill, who was better than twice my age, hopped out like it was nothing. I on the other hand, hurt for more than a week.
The P-51 in the video is Bill Hane's "Ho! Hun!" an historic WWII Fighter Plane. At the time he hangered his plane at the Champlin Fighter Museum which has since closed.

FIRST pardon the Jet noise behind me. No control over that. However once the Engines start, you cannot hear jet noise so please bare with it for a minute.
This is the Collings B-17 Flying Fortress "909" readying to leave Scottsdale Airport bound for Lake Havasu City Airport, AZ. I was fortunate to be up close and personal as they started up the '17' and taxied out.
I did kinda mess up the tracking of the '17' as it took off. I find that aspect of video shooting to be the most difficult, because you have to pivot with your footing to capture the event and it always messes me up! Sorry guys. Hope you still enjoy the video.
