About this user

For over a decade I have been a member of the Seattle-based performance company, Degenerate Art Ensemble, documenting their live performances, rehearsals, and tours. An art exhibition that features their works along with my documentation and installation video work is now open to the public at the Frye Art Museum in Seattle, WA. The project entitled "Red Shoes" which is part of the exhibition, brought me and the group to Robert Wilson's Watermill Center in the spring for a 2 week artist residency.

In 2008 I co-directed, filmed, sound-designed and edited the experimental short film The Silvering Path, which starred dancer Haruko Nishimura and showcases the costumes of fiber artist Mandy Greer. Further I have created promotional short films for Bellevue Arts Museum, and artists Susie J. Lee, Etsuko Ichikawa, Mandy Greer and Helen Hiebert, and I continue to produce videos for Seattle Theatre Group, the non-profit organization that operates the Moore and Paramount theaters.

Currently based in Portland, I along with fellow filmmakers, Seattle-based Ryan K. Adams and New York-based Paul Hawxhurst, in 2010 started the production company Block My Eye Films, offering full production and post-production services.
