I WANT MY MTV

Oh yeah, while I am at it, the 80's also had the best horror flicks! They simply don't make em like that any more. Another sadly missed thing from the late 70's and early 80's: Sour Cream & Onion Doritos!!! :)

As for the later 80's and early 90's, the early rave days are also missed :(

Just like radio, MTV is a great example of how corporate media ruins everything. It went from the great "music" television to the "moron" television we now see aired today. MTV was a legend back in the day. May the 80's and early 90s memories live forever!!!!

I would prefer not to see the VH1 Classic stuff. I think whoever posted the videos from the 25th Anniversary of MTV ruined what was on youtube. You used to be able to find the original programming from those years, but now all I can find is the 25th Anny on VH1.

Good job man, I totally agree with 1978dawnofthedead & musicmamma too. It must be frustrating to work on something only to have to start fresh again, so thanks for your hard work.

I've often given the argument that it doesn't make any sense for YT to go after older stuff that will obviously never be on tv again (the intros, commercials, veejays and even the music video ID's all make me feel like I'm actually in 1984). I watched VH1 as a kid in the 90s which was pretty similar, but there's nothing as cool as the real thing.

The only time I'd think it might make sense to pull something off is if its currently on tv and possibly could hurt the sale of a DVD...but they don't seem to realize this kind of promotion actually HELPS since it gets more people into older bands.
