Hi, I'm GreenTL, yes, my account name is IMMATOONLINK, and if you don't know (I'm sure you don't) I'm apart of a dead community known as the "IAM Fad", where people role played as characters their account was named off of.
Here's a basic outline of what an "IAM" is, and why the fad died off.

For example, say a person was named "IAMMEGAMAN" (Just an example, I'm sure it exists as there is an IAM for everything; Think Rule 34) this person would role play in Youtube videos, comment sections, and most notably, Streams, which aren't around anymore. They were basically chatrooms with YT videos along the side. They were freaking awesome, and then Youtube went and said "Nope, we aren't doing them anymore." This was a good reason why the IAM Fad died, but not the main reason.

Back then, only a select few knew about the fad, who talked (In character) to other characters from other franchises. These generally consisted of Video Game Characters, from Super Smash Bros Brawl specifically, for the main reason that Brawl was the root of the IAM Fad, back then it was called "Brawl Youtube Accounts".

Now others got interested, and started joining. This is where the trouble began.
Many characters would get duplicates, where instead of the basic IMMA or IAM for the start of YT names, there was some weird other junctions like IMA or IM, now these were used for original names of course, but since there were several different types of names, there would be several of the same character, causing mass confusion. (IMMAMEGAMAN, IMMEGAMAN, etc.)

This was the main reason why the IAM fad died off, there were simply too many people in it. The death of the Youtube Streams was just the nail in the coffin.

So where is the IAM fad now, and what does that have to do with me? You can probably guess by now, but I was the original Toon Link from the IAM fad, and the only reason I still use this account is because this was the account which pretty much started me off.
My old account (weasley64) didn't actually get me anywhere, although I started off and the entire (albeit small) IAM community friended and subscribed me. That was my main motivation to start making videos on this account, and why I still use it today.

Of course, I'm one of few when it comes to this. There are almost no IAMs around anymore, the lone few who still use their account include me and IMREDTOONLINK, who is coincidentally my red counterpart. We've had rough times, but we're still friends, from those years ago.

Nowadays, I upload whatever the hell I want, I have absolutely no consistency in the videos I upload, making me a completely unreliable subscription.
