The reason we went to Iraq was to gain control over a country with huge oil reserves. Saddam never ever posed a security threat to the US. He was however going to stop accepting the american dollar for the purchase of oil instead taking the Euro. If our currency lost the backing of oil throughout the world it would be worth even less than it is today. The facts are easily found on why George W. wanted to go to Iraq. It sure as hell was not for WMD's after all we were the ones who allowed him to murder his own people and heck we even supplied him the weapons to do so. You do understand that there were no (NO) Al-qaeda in Iraq until we went there. That fact alone suggests we had alternative motives for going into Iraq. That is why congress did not vote to go to war and why it is illegal under the constitution.

I love how continue to bring up oil- yet ignore the fact that there are VERY, VERY bad people over there that want to kill every single person that we hold dear to us.
