@wheez123 I'm sure you're right - The Pretty Things were one of the most influential bands from the sixties, and you can hear shades of them in numerous artists across the whole spectrum of decent music. One of my all time favourite bands, with Parachute being one of my fave albums.

Cracking song from a cracking album! The mix of hard-edged rock numbers combined with more mellow offerings such as Grass make Parachute essential listening to any serious lover of psychedelia. So good to hear this again - definitely one of the most influential yet under-rated bands from the si...

Green was the first Hillage album I bought, and this track immediately stood out as the gem that it is. Steve's mastery of echo effects is stunning, I saw him and his band a few times (Rainbow theatre in late 70's was the first), and was at Reading the year Steve jammed with Sham 69. I don't h...

It's rare for me to prefer a cover version to the original, but Alison Krauss performs this song beautifully, perfectly capturing the mood of one of Todd Rundgren's best compositions. What a voice!

Another fine song from this awesome artist. Whilst it's a huge compliment to be compared to KC, RUMER HAS HER OWN VOICE, soulful and stunningly beautiful. Seasons Of My Soul is fabulous, my favourite album at the moment.
