Citizen Activist-Exposing Injustice. Since April 28, 2009. Watch as Hull BOS Chairperson Joan Meschino grants a "point of personal privilege" to Town Manager Phil Lemnios, enabling him, in a publicly televised meeting to confront a citizen and make accusations that turned out to be false. Meschino quickly shuts down the meeting without allowing the citizen to respond to these accusations. How unfair is that?!?! This is a case of shooting the messenger. The email that Lemnios is referring to was merely forwarded by Ms. Swiec, she was not the author. This is Bullying by Lemnios and Meschino. They both owe Ms. Swiec an apology for this stunt, which I asked for in a public letter to The Hull Times (as of 2-28-2012 still waiting). This whole episode was not only an abuse of power by Meschino and Lemnios but it was unethical and cowardly. Using a public forum for this purpose is is not what town government is about.
