@anothercountyheard While I agree that SMiLE is on another level, I simply cant deny that Sgt Pepper is as well. Pepper takes me on a journey every time I hear it. Its almost a self contained world unto itself.

@MattHatter Agreed the original (SMiLE) version is better by far. Much more fleshed out. This whole album (Smile Smiley) sounds like a stripped down version of SMiLE IMO.

It does have a Yellow Submarine meets TexMex look about it, but to me that suits the song just fine. Great video and very well done.

I've gotta grab this album no doubt about it. I now understand why this is widly considered one of the greatest albums of all time.

And I'm not going to get into the argument about what album the Beatles did is better ect ect. IMO Revolver is a masterpiece in its own right, along with Pet Sounds.

I find this an interesting song, actually brilliant in a weird way. I had read that this album (Love You) was B. Wilsons return to full control over a recording production since Pet Sounds and it shows.

But I can see why it was mostly ignored though, def didnt fit the musical landscape of 1977 (...

IMO they should have kept it. The Rock man was to be the climax of the action sequence of the movie.

It would have given a killer TOS vibe to the ending. And love him or hate him but the Rock man would have become one of the more talked about villains in Trek lore.

The British kids are cool and everything, but the host is a bit short for some reason.

I have to admit that the interviewer seemed to have gotten both parties to respond to the situation, isnt that his job? Then the one at the station wanted an additional response from the lady.

Yeah I feel bad for the guy too. Hes obviously upset at the carnage hes seeing. But the most probable reason he passed out is because his commie overlords had him out there working 24/7 for God knows how long.

Always loved the Beatles! These guys were above the norm for sure.
