The staffs are also much too light which makes it hard to strike through in the parries, so you will have to adapt your techniques somewhat.

I'll take that back since I managed to freeze the hit at a better frame. It was a hit with the flat, but a clear bitch slap without any help from the flex. Great distance handling and timing there. :)
