As for Obama, his opinion was something like "the house is on fire, and we have to spend some money to put it out; if we don't, the economy might go over a cliff."
Cutting more taxes and killing off gov't programs helps the wealthy, not the average American.

At the most basic level, we pay taxes for the government to maintain public services that we all use. It's main purpose is not to produce stuff that makes money, but rather provide services that create a safe, productive, prosperous living environment for citizens.

About HowTheWorldReallyIs's channel
Though I honestly try to put myself in their shoes, I cannot see how conservatives justify most of their political positions and public behaviour. I have come to understand simply that Right is self-centered, and Left is group-centered. I have become quite perturbed when stumbling across channels where apparently ordinary citizens are eagerly promoting Right-wing rhetoric that even the most basic research shows is often baseless and unfounded. This page is in response to such a channel. (Update: I was quickly blocked from posting on said channel).
The national conversation should be more centered around whether America and its policies should be group- or individual-oriented, and what the common good is and how to achieve it.
If you agree, please subscribe to me. At this point, I'm focusing on commenting ... below you'll find easy access to comments I have made. Please read them, consider them for yourself, and "like" it if you agree. Most importantly -- think for yourself.

Most members of the Right are wild and emotion-driven, and have bad philosophies. The Left seems to be intimidated but more complacent, but with better philosophies (although with much room for improvement).I take solace in filling the void, at least in my small world.
The gov't isn't responsible for the actions of private companies!!
