If there is one thing that holds the key to changing our world for the better, it is our view on drugs, addiction, and the purpose of drugs.

Addiction has been viewed as a horrible incurable disease. A disease with which, those who are afflicted, have no hope of ever seeing a full recovery.

This old way of thought is without a doubt - dead wrong.

Having suffered an addiction myself to heroin and cocaine, I was seized by the hand of the law and forced to tread the unstable waters of a court directed rehabilitation system.

During my time as a prisoner in the Salt Lake County Metro Jail, I was shown the path to meditation and full control over one's self in the book, Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body by Bruce Kumar Frantzis. I have since taken up chi gong and other esoteric meditation practices that have allowed me direct interface between my conscious and subconscious minds. In this lies the key to a full and healthy recovery.

There are three major points that I have learned in my journey:

1 - Addiction IS NOT a disease. It is a treatable symptom of a far greater socio-economic problem.

2 - The War on Drugs is a catastrophic failure and only aggravates addiction while fueling violence and piling money on the desks of greedy agencies and politicians.

3 - All drugs are to be respected and held sacred. Drugs are tools, each one having a different purpose, with hallucinogens being of the highest interest as that they hold one of the many keys to the first gate leading to full addiction recovery and psychological healing.

I would like to encourage you to donate to our Healing Center Fund. The House of Waking Spirits Healing Center will be the first of it's kind. A technology based center of meditation, guidance, and addiction recovery. A place of tranquility and healing where no one is judged no matter how often they may relapse or where they are in their recovery. Everyone is equal and everyone is working on their path to recovery and inner healing.

With these new paradigms and approaches to addiction, we can rid the world once and for all of the ignorance and greed that has so heavily clouded our understanding of drugs, addiction, and recovery.
