About Welcome to the HouseOfThe8Strings
I have been playing mandolin since I was about 11. I play mostly Bluegrass but I also like to try Blues and classic country sometimes. My big influences have been Bill Monroe(of course) Sam Bush, DAWG, Ronnie Mccoury,Frank Wakefield, John Duffy, and Jim Richter. Even though I listen to other mandolin players I dont try to sound like any one else, especially not Adam Steffey, Herschel Sizemore, or Chris Thile. I want to have personality when I play. I also can hit a lick or two on guitar and bass.
