@RisArms Yeah, I forgot to sharpen my buck knife and happened to have the recon in my truck. This thing cuts flesh like butter with a little muscle applied. Cleans awesome too. I just rinsed it off and threw it in my dishwasher. I really do love that knife.

Look at Walthers .380 or S&W's .380. Two of my favorite options for that caliber.

If you have the option, I think it's beneficial to have your back up firearm to be able to accept your primary firearms magazines. Just food for thought.

I'd most definatly get an Ed Brown if I could afford it...but I bought a kimber instead. I love the 1911. So am I correct that the difference between Kimber and Ed Brown is that Ed brown is done completely done by hand?

Personally, I'd buy the .44 just because I imagine .44 ammo is easier to find and the desert eagle is the only gun I know of that shoots the .50 AE. @567WORMBOY123 Not sure on that particular shotgun fore grip, but ATI makes a great one with a rubber texture on the back that helps absorb recoil. It's a great option.

@hardsoldier04 ...and get pestered by the cops on a daily basis. That's the main reason why I prefer concealed carry.

There are lighter smaller 1911's that still pack a .45 acp punch so you get the best of both worlds, but it's all personal preference.

I didn't trim my safety for the laser grips, I bought bobbed ambi safety from kimber.com and swapped it out. Easy fix if you want laser grips.
